Mission of the National Hansen's Disease Museum is to collect, preserve
and interpret the medical and cultural artifacts and archives located at
the Carville Historic District, and to promote understanding,
identification and treatment of leprosy by creating museum displays,
traveling exhibits, publications and web presence.
